Activist demand resignation of Armenia
Council of “Stand up, Armenia” initiative has addressed a letter to the members of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), proposing them to resign, AzVision.az reports citing Armenian media.

In the letter, the initiative members enumerate the amount of losses of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) in the period from 2013 to 2015.

“By 1 January 2015, the losses [of the ENA] over the last 3 years constituted 55 billion 146 million AMD. This time, in 2015, the ENA CJSC turned to your Commission requesting to raise the tariff by 17 AMD. Your Commission partly acceded to the request, raising the tariff by 6,93 AMD,” the letter reads in part.

According to the initiative members, the Armenian citizens presented reasonable complaint to the authorities, demanding to stop the funding at the expense of the consumers of the bankrupt company. They also demanded the PSRC to revoke the decision on tariff.

In the light of the current situation, the initiative members consider the further work of the members as dangerous to the society and propose them to resign.
