"Number of foreigners coming to Azerbaijan decreased by 2.7 % in the first six months of 2021," the 3rd Degree State Migration Service Advisor Vusal Huseynov said at an online press conference on the results for first half of 2021.
Huseynov said that the number of people registered at the place of residence also decreased by 2.3 times.
"There is a significant rise in the number of permanent residence permit. Besides, increase is observed in number of temporary resident permits. 32,4 increase is observed in obtaining work permits. It is related to easing of pandemic rules and economic recovery".
Vusal Huseynov said that currently 127 000 foreigners live in Azerbaijan. "They are mainly from Russian Federation, Georgia, Turkey and Kazakhstan."
