As many as 545 anti-personnel mines, 85 anti-tank mines, and 625 unexploded ordnance (UXO) were found and neutralized during the demining operations conducted by the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 1-31 in the country’s Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan districts, the Agency told AzVision.az.
Furthermore, an area of 677 hectares was cleared of mines and UXOs during the reporting period.
From November 10 to July 31, as many as 8,951 anti-personnel and 4,022 anti-tank mines, as well as 10,026 UXOs were detected and defused in the liberated Azerbaijani lands. Totally, an area of 3,942 hectares has been demined to the date.
