“Some media outlets and social networks spread inaccurate information about the Azerbaijani serviceman's becoming martyr in the direction of Shusha. We state that soldier Ramin Chingiz Haziyev died as a result of a tragic incident in the military unit where he served,” Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told reporters.
“According to preliminary investigations, the serviceman committed suicide due to family problems.” The Ministry of Defense did not disclose the details of the incident, by following ethical rules.
“A criminal case has been started and an investigation is underway,” the ministry said.
The Defense Ministry states that some media outlets are misleading the public by grossly distorting the truth, in this way serving the interests of the enemy.
“We draw your attention to the inadmissibility of the dissemination of unspecified information,” the ministry added.
