As a result of operative-investigative measures, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aydin Zakiyev, born in 1970, was arrested for carrying out espionage for Armenia damaging the sovereignty, territorial integrity, state security and defense capabilities of the Republic of Azerbaijan. There is well-founded evidence that he betrayed the state by assisting the Armenian special services to engage in hostile activities against Azerbaijan.
