Next electro-rally to be held in Yerevan on August 21
Responding to the question on the small number of people during the rally, Sanasaryan said the number is important, but what’s even more important is what the people gathered are ready to do.
“What’s important is that the people who come are ready to stay in the square and block the streets,” he said.
According to Sansaryan, the activists will look for new methods to inform more people and gather them in the square.
The activists are ready to cooperate with the parties and initiatives, which are interested in solving the issues raised.
The rally was controlled by a large number of policemen, including Yerevan Deputy Chief of Police Valery Osipyan.
“Stand up, Armenia” initiative activists have been staging a sit-in in Yerevan’s Republic Square since July 27. They are demanding to revoke the decision on electricity price hike in Armenia (before the conclusion of the international audit in Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), the price is subsidized by the government).
