Azerbaijan plans to implement a pilot project to clean up polluted rivers using biofilters in the liberated lands, says chairman of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) Goshgar Tahmazli at a press conference on the Agency's activities in the first nine months of the year, AzVision.az reports.
Tahmazli stated that the project will purify the river water to be used for irrigation of arable lands from toxic substances using biologically based filters.
