Two specially-trained mine detection dogs brought to Azerbaijan

Two mine detection dogs specially trained in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been brought to Azerbaijan, the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan told AzVision.az.

The dogs, named “Bak” and “Elma”, will be involved in demining operations in Azerbaijan.  

On August 26, Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency and Marshall Legacy Institute, MLI signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an agreement.  

The agreement envisages the delivery of 30 specially trained mine detection dogs to Azerbaijan by the end of July 2023. Of those, ten dogs have already been brought to Azerbaijan.
