Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters about his discussion on the situation in the South Caucasus region with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at the G20 summit in Rome, AzVision.az reports citing the Turkish media.

"Macron raised the issue of the South Caucasus. We mentioned our last visit to Azerbaijan stating that positive steps are currently being taken in the South Caucasus. My brother, President Ilham Aliyev, also wants to proceed with these positive measures," Erdogan noted.

He also touched on the issue of establishing a "six" platform in the region: "If Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Georgia and Armenia agree, we will create a peace platform here. If this happens, it will be the right step".
