"Until now, Azerbaijan has handed over the bodies of about 1,700 Armenian servicemen in compliance with the humanitarian law,"Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said on Nov. 5 speaking at the "44-Day Victory Path" conference at the ADA University in Baku, AzVision.az reports.
Bayramov said that the fate of 4,000 people missing in the First Karabakh War was still unknown: "However, we acted differently. We took step in accordance with the international law. Acting as a victorious state, Azerbaijan enabled gas to be transported through its territory to Armenia in winter."
