Speaking on the realities of the US foreign policy, the author calls on the US Administration to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan. The Congressman says Azerbaijan is the only devoted ally of the US which is located on the border of Russia and Iran, AzerTAc reports.
Burton writes: “Azerbaijan is a valuable and tested ally for the United States. From counterterrorism and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction to serving as a stabilizing force in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan is among America`s best friends.”
The former congressman underlines that the appointment of the US high-level representative in OSCE mission is an obvious sample that the US backs regional stability.
Dan Burton has worked for decades at the US Congress, and 30 years worked at the committee for foreign affairs at the House of Representatives.
