There are hundreds of monuments in Azerbaijan dating back thousands of years, and they represent different cultures, religions and are important parts of our history, said the chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev in his speech at the conference "The Great Return: Revival of Culture."
Anar Guliyev stated that the Azerbaijani government pays special attention to these destroyed monuments and the restoration of them.
"During the occupation, Armenia pursued a destructive policy against cultural monuments of Azerbaijan. This contradicts universal values. We are suffering political consequences", he added.
