  Azerbaijani, Turkish foreign ministers meet in Pakistan

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Sunday met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Ministerial Council of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad, the Foreign Ministry told AzVision.az.

The ministers hailed the high-level development of strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.

They discussed the results of the first 3+3 format meeting initiated by the Azerbaijani and Turkish leaders, expressing mutual interest in advancing the cooperation mechanism.

During the meeting, the top diplomats also mulled cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States, as well as issues of trilateral cooperation formats in which the two countries participate and steps to be taken in this regard in the coming months.

The ministers then exchanged views on the current situation in the region, the implementation of trilateral statements [on Karabakh], as well as the normalization of relations among regional countries in the post-conflict situation.
