Armenia must properly assess the new geopolitical realities in the region, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev told reporters, AzVision.az reports on Jan. 20.
Hajiyev stated that in his interview to local TV channels, President Ilham Aliyev touched on the issues related to the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations:
"In his interview, the President also touched upon the issues of launching negotiations on signing of a potential peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We expect to receive relevant responses from Armenia," Hajiyev added.
