"Our goal is to strengthen our presence in the CIS region," Munem said.
He added that Georgia as a potential major center of the tea trade in the region causes great interest of Indian tea exporters.
"If we can make our presence in Georgia tangible, then we’ll be able to gain easy access to Turkey, which is the largest consumer of tea in the world," Munem emphasized.
Currently the price of a kilogram of Indian broad leaf tea is 247.56 rupees per kg (about $3.8).
