The meeting was attended by Nadir Adilov, Chairman of the Board, Sima Yagubova, Member of the Board, and Ali Nabiyev, Members of the Board (all Mediation Council of Azerbaijan) as well as Eva Maria Melis, Senior Governance Specialist, Waleed Malik, Senior Public Sector Specialist, and Nigar Sadigova, Azerbaijan Country Office (all World Bank Group).
Nadir Adilov elaborated on the Azerbaijani experience of mediation, the recent establishment of the Council and current challenges as well as its future development perspectives and objectives. The World Bank representatives commended the remarkable performance of the Mediation Council despite of its recent establishment, and expressed their understanding of the challenges the Council is currently facing. Further, potential areas of collaboration and support were discussed.
