Armenian special forces committed war crimes in Syria – PHOTO FACT

Armenia’s Defense Ministry earlier reported that its alleged “humanitarian” mission in Syria included only sappers and military medics. The 83-member Armenian contingent, stationed in a Russian military base in Damascus on a regular rotation basis, led to the imposition by the US of military sanctions on Armenia.

One of these sanctions was the cut in annual funding for The Halo Trust (Hazardous Area Life-Support Organization), a US-funded international organization allegedly involved in demining in the previously occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

Numerous efforts by the Armenian National Committee of America also failed to prevent Congress from not only halting funding for the organization but also refusing to allocate the “symbolic” amount allegedly necessary for separatists to print booklets “to educate the public about landmine threats”. The point was prosaic: If Armenia has enough demining personnel and is capable of joining demining operations in Syria (and can join the Russian military contingent in this area), then it does not need millions of dollars… It is very simple.

Photos shared on February 11 on "Уголок Ситха", a military-purpose Telegram channel, show that Armenian troops do not carry out a “humanitarian mission” in Syria. On the contrary, they commit war crimes in the uniform of the Armenian armed forces, which in most cases do not have tactical signs.

Although it is not known when the photos were taken, there is a high probability that Armenian special forces took an active part in the Syrian conflict and mastered the tactics of international terrorist groups to use it against Azerbaijan.
