The Zangazur corridor will allow Azerbaijan to become a trade center, said Port of Baku Director-General Taleh Ziyadov at the closing ceremony of the project titled "Support to the enhancement of operational capabilities of the Port of Baku: Phase 2", co-organized by Port of Baku and the European Union.
Taleh Ziyadov noted that the Zangazur corridor is the shortest corridor between the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
"This will pave the way to the East-West corridor and will have a significant role in the delivery of goods to the Mediterranean," Ziyadov stated.
He also added that becoming a trade center is also important for Azerbaijan from a geographical point of view.
