A phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, AzVision.az reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed the current situation in the region, including the implementation of the trilateral statements of November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021 [between Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders following the 2020 second Karabakh war].
During the conversation, the ministers exchanged views on the situation around Ukraine, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
