Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan has published the number of mines found in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from Armenian occupation, AzVision.az reports.
Meeting was held by Working Group on clearing mines and unexploded ordnance of the Interdepartmental Center under the Coordination Headquarters and it was noted that in the period from November 10, 2020 through April 14, 2022 an area of 8,373 hectares was cleared, total of 30,572 mines and unexploded ordnance were found.
Area of 506.4 hectares was cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance from April 1 until April 14.
Total of 595 mines and unexploded ordnance were found and cleared.
