The Arabian media outlets have published an article highlighting Azerbaijan's forgotten lighthouses in the Caspian Sea – which has been studied as an important strategic region since the mid-19th century.
Egyptian New World News, Algerian “Algerie info”, Iraqi “Afkarhura” and “Kitabat” news portals provided the detailed information about the nine lighthouses in the Caspian Sea.
The author of the article Syrian Turkmen researcher Muhtar Fatih Beydili noted that the lighthouses are reflected in a new atlas of 22 maps compiled as a result of systematic research in the middle of the 19th century.
The article featured a broad information about the 19th century lighthouses such as "Absheron", "Lankaran", "Amburan", "Nargin", "Chilov", "Astara" and "Kur".
