"Coming here, I remembered the first congress held in 2001. During his speech at the congress, national leader Heydar Aliyev shared his views on the Karabakh problem, saying that Azerbaijan would restore its territorial integrity, occupied lands would be liberated and Azerbaijani people would return to their ancestral lands," President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev said speaking at the V Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha city, AzVision.az report.
The head of the state said that as successors of national leader, we turned these words into reality: "I was reported about the preparations for the 5th Congress, and I said that this congress must be held in Shusha. I am sure that the participants of the congress also hold a positive attitude in this regard and enthusiastically came to historical Shusha - our cultural capital. Shusha also greets its loved ones with such sunny weather. It once again shows that it is our historical land. Even the nature and the sun are in solidarity with us, " President Aliyev stated.
