  Azerbaijan, FAO effectively cooperate on several strategies, minister says 

Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on a number of strategies and programs to address new challenges, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov said, AzVision.az reports. 

Karimov made the statement in Baku, at an international conference on agriculture digitalization, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture with the support of FAO.

According to him, Azerbaijan's economy is growing at a high pace.

"Azerbaijan has come a long way in the field of digitalization of agriculture. Today we intend to talk about our experience, as well as learn from the experience of other countries,” the minister noted. “We need to ensure the digitalization of the entire agricultural sector. This will allow adapt it to the future transformation.”

He further said that digitalization is being carried out in all regions of Azerbaijan.

"The latest technologies in this area are also being introduced in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation [in the 2020 second Karabakh war]," Karimov pointed out.

Besides, the official spoke about Azerbaijan's success on the way to becoming a transport and logistics center.

"This is very important today, when supply chains are disrupted, and Azerbaijan can become a bridge in all directions," he added.
