He noted that Armenian armed forces, stationed in Yukhari Shorzha, Ashaghi Shorzha and Zarkand settlements of Basarkechar district, continue to fire at the Azerbaijani Army’s positions in Zeylik, Yellija and Yukhari Ayrim settlements of Kalbajar district. Eyvazov said that Armenian troops are using D-30 and D-20 cannons.
The colonel reiterated that responsibility for the further escalation of the tension entirely lies with Armenia’s military and political leadership.
“The Azerbaijani Army is taking local countermeasures only against firing points that are legitimate military targets,” Eyvazov added.
