 Armenia killed 400 Azerbaijani servicemen after 1994 ceasefire: Prosecutor General’s Office

As many as 400 Azerbaijani servicemen and 31 civilians were deliberately killed by Armenians from May 12, 1994, when a ceasefire was reached based on the Bishkek protocol, until September 2020, Ilgar Safarov, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, said on Thursday.

He made the remarks while speaking at a joint press conference of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Foreign Ministry on crimes committed by Armenian armed forces and illegal armed groups of Armenia against Azerbaijan from 1988 till now, AzVision.az reports.

Safarov noted that during the reporting period, Armenians attempted to deliberately kill 1,042 Azerbaijani servicemen and 69 civilians.

“A total of 918 criminal cases have already been initiated over these criminal acts,” he added.
