Turkish media publish articles condemning Armenian atrocities in Edilli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district

The Turkish leading media outlets, including Anadolu Agency and DHA news agencies, as well as TRT Haber, TGRT, TRT Avaz, CNN Turk and TRT Haber TV channels, "Milliyet", "Yeni akit", "Star" and other newspapers have published articles highlighting the mass grave of Azerbaijanis killed and buried by Armenian servicemen during the first Karabakh war that was found in the village of Edilli in Khojavand district.

The articles drew the readers’ attention to Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev’s Twitter post regarding the mass grave, saying that the diplomat described Edilli as concentration camp for Azerbaijani hostages by Armenia.

The articles condemned this act of vandalism committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis describing it as a crime against the humanity.

The articles also mentioned that during the first Karabakh war launched based on groundless claims by Armenia almost 4000 citizens of Azerbaijan, both civilians and military, still remain missing.
