France has nothing to do with the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council in Astana on October 14, AzVision.az reports.
The head of state noted that as a Minsk Group co-chair, France had a mandate for a mediation mission, but the Karabakh conflict is resolved, and there is no need for the services of the Minsk Group. "The Minsk Group did nothing for the liberation of Azerbaijani territories," he said.
"Azerbaijan demonstrated the good will and allowed the French President to take part in the fourpartite meeting," President Aliyev added.
