Director of Bishkek school talks to AzVision on President Aliyev's visit to their opening cermeony

During his visit to Kyrgyzstan, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the Heydar Aliyev School-Gymnasium No. 20 educational complex in Bishkek. "I thank the Kyrgyz President and the fraternal Kyrgyz people for acts of kindness in memory of Heydar Aliyev," said the President, inviting the school's staff to Azerbaijan.

AzVision.az had an interview with Alymkulova Kanykei Zakonbekovna, the director of the Kyrgyz school named after the national leader of Azerbaijan.

- What impressions have the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov at the school's opening ceremony had on you and on the staff of your school? In general, what do you specifically remember from that opening ceremony?

- I can say on behalf of myself and the team that it was a fascinating day and our impressions were excellent. It is a very proud event for us that the two presidents attended the opening of the school named after Heydar Aliyev. Everyone was very excited and at the same time, we were happy to witness such a historic event.

- What did President Ilham Aliyev wish for your team during the meeting and what kind words did he say about your school? What did he like about your school?

- President Ilham Aliyev's visit here was pleasant, we welcomed him very kindly and with a great smile. It was a very joyful and exciting meeting. President Aliyev wished that our students would be the most educated people. He wished us to give good education to the students and to teach good scientists and high-quality specialists at our school. He emphasized that we will cooperate more closely and invited us - the students and teachers of the school - to Baku. It was very pleasant for us and we were very happy.

We are really happy to have such historical events in our school. I was personally impressed by Ilham Aliyev as a highly intellectual and sophisticated person. He is a very nice person and is very kind to children. We took pictures with him and our children were eager to communicate with him.

- You mentioned that Ilham Aliyev invited you and the representatives of your team to Baku. What do you feel about President's invitation and do you plan to visit Baku?

- Of course, it impressed us in the best sense of the word. We were pleased that President Ilham Aliyev personally invited us and we all welcomed this invitation. We are happy about it. This doesn't happen every day. In particular, we were stunned when a great president like Ilham Aliyev invited us. Of course, if there is an official request, we are ready to visit Baku at any time. It was a very pleasant event and feeling.

- How did President Ilham Aliyev personally influence you and your team? Do you think he can be considered a modern leader with strategic thinking?

- Of course, there is no doubt that Ilham Aliyev is the benchmark of a modern political leader as he is a smart and intelligent person. Despite being at such a high level, President Aliyev is a very simple person. It was nice that he acted so intelligently in private conversations. He has great intellect, he knows a lot about our traditions. This is an indication of how he has deep knowledge in all directions and is a highly intelligent person. As a modern political leader, he speaks many languages and is informed about many cultures very well. We were very happy to have a conversation with him.

- Finally, we wanted to learn about school gymnasium No. 20 named after the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. Is it a great school? Can you provide information about the level and indicators of education there? Is the knowledge provided in your school compatible with modern students in the field of education?

- In our school, which has been operating since 1969, teaching is conducted in Russian. This year, 1893 students are studying in 59 classes of the school in the two-shift teaching process. 92 teachers participate in the education of the future generation, 17 of whom have been awarded the title of "Educational Excellence". The library fund of the school consists of about 22100 copies. The educational process is conducted in 48 classrooms located in two buildings. Many times we have won awards in regional, city, country and international competitions, competitions and Olympiads. A good team works here. According to the rankings, our school gymnasium educational complex is among the 20 best schools in the city. Considering that the city is a leading one in the Kyrgyz republic, this is a very high indicator. We are trying to improve this indicator as well".
