Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to appoint new ambassadors to Lebanon, Croatia, Vietnam, Italy, and the Kingdom of Morocco.

• Samad Huseynov was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Lebanon.
• Anar Imanov was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Croatia.
• Shovgi Mehdizadeh was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
• Rashad Aslanov was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Italian Republic.

• Nazim Samadov was appointed as  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Following another decree signed by the head of state, Aghasalim Shukurov was recalled from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Lebanon.

Following another presidential order, Mammad Ahmadzadeh was recalled from the post of ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Italian Republic, as well as to the Republic of San Marino, the Republic of Malta and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the UN World Food Program (WFP), the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has also signed a decree to recall Fakhraddin Gurbanov from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Croatia. 

Anar Imanov was also recalled from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as to the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Besides, Oktay Gurbanov was recalled from the post of ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Republic of Senegal, the Republic of Mali, the Portuguese Republic, the Republic of Tunisia, and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
