Azerbaijani flag flying over road to Khankandi

Azerbaijani flag flying over road to Khankandi

For the second straight day, environmental activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations from Azerbaijan have been protesting near Shusha, close to the post of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which is temporarily stationed in the area, AzVision.az reports.

The protesters raised the Azerbaijani flag with a crane over the road to Khankandi.

The protesters also chanted “Long Live Azerbaijan!” and “Stop environmental terror” slogans.

They demand that temporary Russian peacekeepers prevent illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan’s natural resources in the region.
