The conference brought together Azerbaijani state officials as well as foreign delegations led by heads of supreme courts.
Addressing the event, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev expressed his gratitude to the participants for visiting Azerbaijan.
Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Head of the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies of Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Fuad Alasgarov has read a congratulatory letter of President Ilham Aliyev to the conference participants.
First Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli has read out the message of the Azerbaijani Parliament to the conference participants.
The conference participants watched the video address by President of the European Court of Human Rights Siofra O’Leary.
The conference also featured a presentation of the film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court.
The event was also addressed by Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev, Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijani Minister of Justice, Chairman of Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov. They highlighted the path of development of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court, as well as achievements gained in judicial-legal sphere.
