French police have detained more than 200 people during the riots that broke out during the 10th nationwide Day of Action against pension reform, Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin tweeted, AzVision.az reports.
“I express my gratitude to 13,000 policemen and gendarmes who ensured the safety of citizens and the protection of property during mass actions,” Darmanin wrote. “201 people were detained.”
He also noted that “175 law enforcement officers were injured” in clashes with radical elements.
