“On my visit to Azerbaijan with British MP David Duguid and Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Elin Suleymanov we visited Aghdam. Here at the iconic mosque which is now being rebuilt after liberation from the Armenian occupation. The mosque was used by Armenians to house pigs and cattle during the occupation,” Head of the UK-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, MP Bob Blackman said on Twitter.
“Here carrying out controlled explosion at land mine clearance site in Aghdam, Azerbaijan. More than 1 million land mines were laid by Armenian forces, now brave people are removing them so liberated territories can be used for residential buildings and agriculture.
At the mine clearance site in Aghdam with David Duguid carrying out a controlled explosion of recovered land mines. There are no maps or diagrams of where mines are located. 300 civilians have lost their lives as a result of stepping on these indiscriminately placed mines,” MP Bob Blackman tweeted.
