Zelenskyy says Ukraine ready to join NATO, waiting for decision of Alliance

Ukraine is ready to become a member of NATO. The country is waiting for the Alliance to be ready to accept it, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at the first press conference after arriving at the European Political Community (EPC) summit in Moldova, AzVision.az reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

"Ukraine is ready to join NATO, we are waiting for NATO to be ready to accept Ukraine. Security guarantees are important not only for Ukraine but also for our neighbors - for Moldova, because of Russia's aggression," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the visit to Moldova is "a message from all Ukrainians that Ukraine supports Moldova’s people and are always ready to walk together, shoulder to shoulder."

Zelenskyy also said that he had discussed various issues such as bilateral relations and infrastructure with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
