Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Haitham Al Ghais is on a visit to Azerbaijan, the country's Ministry of Energy told AzVision.az reports.
According to the ministry, on June 18, Al Ghais visited the Alley of Honor, honored the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at his monument.
Then the guest visited the Alley of Martyrs and honored the memory of those who died in the struggle for Azerbaijan's independence and territorial integrity by laying a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
Al Ghais has been Secretary General of OPEC since August 1, 2022.
