Azerbaijani FIFA referee Aliyar Aghayev will be in charge of an opening game of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2023. He will control a match between Belgium and the Netherlands to be held at the Meskhi Stadium in Tbilisi on June 21.
Aliyar Aghayev will be assisted by his fellow countryman Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amirali.
The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will run from June 21 to July 8 with 16 teams competing in Georgia and Romania.
The final will played on July 8 in Batumi.
