OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais delivered a lecture on the role of OPEC, OPEC+ in the global energy system as part of the "Global Perspectives Lecture Series" (GPLS) arranged by the Institute for Development and Diplomacy, ADA University.
He touched upon the reduction of the carbon footprint, global energy demand, decarbonization.
“We need to inform the general public about the contributions the energy industry has made to the world as well as its irreplaceable role in shaping the future,” he said.
The Secretary General mentioned successful collaboration between OPEC+ countries and Azerbaijan.
