An earthquake has occurred again in the Caspian Sea, the Republican Seismic Survey Center (RSSC) under the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan said, AzVision.az reports citing Trend.
According to the Bureau of Earthquake Research, a 3.5-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10:31 (GMT+4). The epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 63 kilometers.
The previous earthquake occurred in the Caspian Sea on July 11.
According to Director General of RSSC Gurban Yetirmishli, weak tremors occur in Azerbaijan every day, and this is a natural process. Most of the registered earthquakes are not felt.
