Azerbaijani MFA slams manipulative statements of Armenian PM

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements made during a speech at a government meeting indicate Armenia's irresponsible manipulative activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said, AzVision.az reports.

According to the ministry, the statements made by the Prime Minister of Armenia at the government meeting on August 31, who again accused Azerbaijan of "genocide", are a sign of Armenia's irresponsible manipulative activities.

"We would like to remind the Prime Minister of Armenia that trucks sent by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society in the direction of Aghdam-Khankendi are currently waiting for passage to Khankendi. The Prime Minister of Armenia, instead of objecting to the provocative steps of some representatives of Armenians who opposed the proposal to activate traffic on the Lachin road in parallel with the use of the Aghdam-Khankendi road to deliver goods to Armenian residents, if necessary, accuses Azerbaijan of allegedly "starving" Armenian residents. If the Armenian side really needed the delivery of goods, it would not have prevented the passage of these goods to the territory by demanding that the road be blocked by a peacekeeping contingent. The approach of the Armenian residents has once again shown that the statements of Armenia and some representatives of the Armenian residents about the "humanitarian situation" are nothing but political manipulations," said the ministry.
