Turkiye's former PM shares tweet on Azerbaijan's Remembrance Day

 The First Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Türkiye (AK Party), former Prime Minister Binali Yildirim shared a publication on X (Twitter) on the occasion of the Remembrance Day marked annually in Azerbaijan on September 27, AzVision.az reports.

"On this day, the second Karabakh war began, which ended with the liberation of Karabakh and the occupied Azerbaijani lands. On the anniversary of this glorious victory, on Remembrance Day, I respectfully honor the memory of all our martyrs," he said.

The second Karabakh war, which lasted 44 days and ended with a brilliant victory for Azerbaijan over Armenia, began on September 27, 2020.

According to the decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, Azerbaijan annually marks Remembrance Day on September 27 as a sign of deep respect to Azerbaijani soldiers and officers who heroically fought in the second Karabakh war and gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
