Georgian new Prime Minister named
Bidzina Ivanishvili nominated 31-year old Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Georgia`s Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has said today he`ll nominate Irakli Garibashvili to replace him. His nomination requires the backing of parliament, APA`s Georgian bureau reports.

Ivanishvili said that Gharibashvili created a European type police within a year: “His family underwent pressure by the former government. Though, he was a decent Minister. I`m sure he will be a worthy prime minister, because he deserves this position.”

“As I have promised, we held a political council and presented our candidate. There was absolute consensus in the team about this candidate. I`m really glad that the team, which is so democratic, made the right choice.”

Speaking to journalists, Gharibashvili said that he would continue the path of Ivanishvili, do everything for the development of Georgia: “I promise to the people that I will be committed to the objectives and principles declared by Bidzina Ivanishvili and serve to the development of the country.”

Georgia`s new President Giorgi Margvelashvili said that Irakli Garibashvili is a prominent and worthy member of the society: “We have good relations. I am very pleased that I will have a colleague like Irakli.”

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasaniya said that a decent and kind man would be the head of Georgian government: “I am very pleased worthy, honorable and energetic man was elected out of our team as a Prime Minister. All of us will support him.”
