CIDC to prospect next cyber ​​warfare contest in Azerbaijan - official

The cyber warfare competition, scheduled to take place in Baku on October 26–27, will be the third stage of the previously held CIDC-2023 (Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge) competitions, the Head of the State Special Communications and Information Security Service of Azerbaijan Ilgar Musayev said, AzVision.az reports.

Musayev made the remark in his address to the participants of the CIDC-2023 event.

"Out of the 41 teams registered for the competition, 20 have reached the finals. The first two stages of the competition were held online last month. This race can be seen as a contribution of the service to further strengthen the current state of information security in the country," he noted.

"The effective discussions, exchange of opinions, and training that will be conducted during the event will make a significant contribution to further enhancing the current state of information security in the IT sector," the official added.

The CIDC-2023 event will be held with the joint organization of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani State Security Service.

It will bring together domestic and foreign companies, the public and private sectors, students, and experts in this field.
