Armenia refuses to cooperate with Azerbaijan in finding mass burial sites: State Security Service

Demonstrating non-constructiveness, Armenia refuses to cooperate with Azerbaijan in finding the mass burial grounds of Azerbaijanis under various pretexts, the Chief of the State Security Service (SSS) and the Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, Ali Naghiyev, said as he received the delegation led by the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pia Kauma, AzVision.az reports.

Addressing the issue of the disappearance of nearly 4,000 citizens as a result of Armenia's military aggression and ethnic cleansing policy against Azerbaijan, Ali Naghiyev said that although the liberation of territories from occupation facilitated their search, it was still not possible to clarify the fate of a large number of Azerbaijanis. Armenia, showing non-constructiveness in this direction as well, refuses to cooperate in finding the mass burial grounds of Azerbaijanis under various pretexts.

Despite all this, the chairman of the State Commission said that Azerbaijan spares no effort to establish lasting peace and stability in the region, always gives priority to the principles of neighborliness and peaceful coexistence, and provides comprehensive guarantees for the safety of Armenians living in Karabakh, and that it is important to normalize relations with Armenia and sign a peace treaty.
