Moroccan media outlets informed about upcoming snap presidential election in Azerbaijan

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Morocco has hosted a meeting with the representatives of leading media outlets of the country.

The meeting brought together representatives of media organizations such as "Le Matin", "L'Opinion", "Al Bayane", "La Vie eco", "TelQuel", "Le Desk" disseminating news in French in Morocco, as well as Maghreb Arabe Press (MAP), the official state news agency of Morocco.

Addressing the meeting, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Nazim Samadov provided insight into the preparations for the snap presidential election scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan on February 7.

The participants of the meeting were informed about the history of Azerbaijan's independence, domestic and foreign policy, the current situation in the region, the peace process after the liberation of Azerbaijan’s territories from the Armenian occupation, and the works carried out in these territories, as well as the current situation of and prospects for Azerbaijan-Moroccan relations.

The representatives of the Moroccan media expressed their interest in Azerbaijan's history, culture, foreign relations, political and economic relations, and geopolitical realities in the region. The ambassador answered the questions of media representatives on the above-mentioned topics.
