On February 17, Ms. Eileen O'Connor, Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications, Policy, and Publicity of The Rockefeller Foundation, met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Munich at the President's request.
Ms. O'Connor congratulated President Aliyev on Azerbaijan hosting COP29, noting that The Rockefeller Foundation actively finances climate change mitigation and prevention globally, collaborating with various countries, the private sector, and civil society. She expressed the Foundation's readiness to cooperate with Azerbaijan in this area.
President Aliyev thanked Ms. O'Connor for the congratulations and emphasized his support for inclusivity at COP29. He highlighted Azerbaijan's close collaboration with the international community on this critical issue.
Underscoring Azerbaijan's commitment to cooperation, President Aliyev extended an invitation to a delegation from The Rockefeller Foundation to visit the country.
