International ski mountaineering competitions have started in Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports.
The event is a collaborative effort between the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), the Winter Sports Federation, and the Shahdag Tourism Center.
Athletes from 11 countries are participating alongside representatives from Azerbaijan's National Olympic Committee, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Winter Sports Federation. The decision to host the competition in Azerbaijan was made by the ISMF last year in October.
