Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan implementing large regional projects, Ambassador says

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are implementing large regional projects, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel said during the 2nd meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council, AzVision.az reports.

He says, these include projects for the development of the Middle Corridor, laying a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, etc.

“Trade between the two countries reached $530 million last year, which is a record high in recent years,” the ambassador said, adding that there is potential for further expansion of trade turnover.

Bayel noted that it is necessary to expand the activities of the business council, attracting both large and medium-sized businesses.

“In addition, we should strive to ensure that the presidents of both countries take part in the next meeting of the business council,” the ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasized.
