Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Baku Water Week International Conference, Zaur Mikayilov, chairman of Azerbaijan's State Water Resources Agency, said the reservoir in Zabukh village, Lachin district, is expected to be operational by the middle of this year.
"It is planned to rehabilitate about 20 canals in Azerbaijan. At the moment, six of them are being rehabilitated, two of them will be started in the near future and another 12 are in the preparation stage," he said.
Mikayilov added that feasibility studies of other reservoirs are being carried out in parallel.
