Azerbaijan police continue clearing Khankendi of Armenians-left weapons

In ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security in the region, Azerbaijani law enforcement officers have made significant strides in uncovering and seizing a cache of weapons and ammunition in the city of Khankendi.

The latest discovery includes a substantial array of weaponry. Among the items seized were seven automatic rifles, a machine gun, three shotguns, eight hand grenades, 1,555 cartridges of various calibres, six fuses for hand grenades, etc., the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry told AzVision.az.

These findings underscore the commitment of authorities to thoroughly comb through areas previously occupied by Armenian forces and rid them of any potential threats to civilian safety and regional stability.

The continued clearance of weapons from Khankendi reflects ongoing efforts by Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies to enforce peace and security in the liberated territories, allowing residents to resume their daily lives without the spectre of violence or conflict.

As the process of rebuilding and rehabilitation progresses in the region, such measures play a crucial role in laying the groundwork for a peaceful and prosperous future for all inhabitants of the area.
