Burkina Faso, Israel, Mali, Pakistan, Syria and Afghanistan are among the countries with the greatest terrorist threat on their territory, AzVision.az reports.
Azerbaijan ranked 89th in the latest ranking as one of the safest countries in the world, along with Denmark, Finland and Qatar. Iran ranked 26th, Türkiye 29th, the United States 30th, Russia 35th, France 38th, Norway 53rd, Armenia 76th, the United Arab Emirates 79th and Lithuania 87th.
The Global Terrorism Index takes into account the number of terrorist incidents, terrorist deaths, counter-terrorism, the effectiveness of terrorism investigations and many other indicators.
The Global Terrorism Index reports, which are periodically published by the Institute for Economics and Peace-IEP, are taken into account by the United Nations, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank and other international bodies, institutions, think tanks, non-governmental organisations.
